I purchased six shelves and a mantle. five of the shelves plus the mantle are beautiful, but one of the shelves brackets was not level. My Handyman said that there wasn’t anything he could do to get it to be level and that the brackets were not consistent across the six shelves. Would I be able to exchange and replace the one faulty shelf?

I originally ordered a mantel with the wrong dimensions. Once I realized it I contacted their customer service dept. They immediately corrected the order and refunded the difference within the hour. In a world where customer service is sorely lacking, they were a complete joy to work with. Since these pieces are American made and made to order, it took a few weeks but love the product and the workmanship! Would highly recommend : )

It took a lot longer to arrive than it said when we ordered. Once it arrived, it was not as heavy-duty as I thought it was from the description. It is very nice and well made. It is just a box. The stain was fresh, but it was not varnished and needs a coat to protect it. It was very hard to hang and did not come with a lot of directions.

Overall, the appearance looks really good. And the quality for the price. The only complaint would be the cut edge of the French cleat. It is not completely level which causes the mantle to not be level when mounting. It had a slight curve in it which caused the mantel to move like a see saw when pressure was put on the right or left. I had to add shims in order to center and stabilize.

I’m not thrilled with the new mantel. It was clearly dropped or mishandled at the factory or by the shipper because one of the corners was slightly damaged. My second complaint is that the mounting cleat was warped which made the installation challenging. We decided to keep it and work with the one we received because of the hassle to return it. I would have taken it back if I had purchased it from a local store.

The mantle is beautiful and the communication in the beginning was great but when I placed my order it gave be an estimated date of delivery and they did send me an email saying they were a little behind but when I inquired about delivery after since my contractor was starting my project the communication was vague.

My rustic mantel, very carefully packaged, arrived safely and I am delighted. Even in it's unfinished state, it looks beautiful. It has been very cold here in southern Oregon so I'm waiting for appropriate temperatures to allow me to stain the mantel in a well ventilated space before mounting it. In reviewing the directions for mounting, it looks like that will not be difficult at all. I'm very excited!

Such a statement piece! The look of a real beam mantle Completely changed the look and vibe of our living room! Please have patience while waiting for your piece to arrive. It IS a custom order, not mas produced. It even has the smell of the stain used. I purchased the “distressed “ option since my decor is a mix of modern-traditional with a dash of Farmhouse. It’s not overly distressed, just a hint.

I’ve ordered twice from them and both times shipping was insanely long. Took about 2 months to ship. Was given an apology email indicating that they’ve received higher volume of orders than usual. Which the first time was christmas time and the second was January-February. I can see Christmas time but Jan/Feb? I’m not buying it.
Better business bureau indicates that they’ve been in business for less than a year. I just think this business is going through growing pains and is mistake prone.
Overall quality is decent, I’d give that 3 stars.
Customer service and reliability, I’d give 1 star.

Very mixed review. Overall very happy with the look and build quality of the mantel. Looks greats and very easy to install. Where I was disappointed was in the manor it was built. I was under the assumption that all the edges were going to be cut a 45 and put together so there were no board edges visible and it would appear it be a whole beam. Something built that would be over my skill level to be perfect. The last frustrations was the time it took to receive the mantel. When I ordered i was informed time to shipping would be 8-10 days it took a month for my mantel to be shipped. So my overall thought is that if you have no experience building or wood working it is a great piece. Looks very nice and is built very well. If you have basic woodworking and building skills you could easily build your own mantel for a fraction of the cost. And if there is going to be such a long delaying for production, informing the customer before it has been two weeks that production is going to take a month would be nice.

Hello, This was a great alterative then having a full piece of wood mantle. Stain/color turned out perfect.
For hanging the mantle, the cleat had the pre-screws on the wrong side. We had to remove and screw from the correct side. Remember to test fit before screwing it up.

It's alright! I would expect a bit more attention to detail for the price - for example, they didn't fill in the nail holes and the wood itself bows and is not level. Seems like it got put together rather quickly with little care.

Happy with the weight ,not to heavy for mounting.. wife would have liked color a little lighter, communications would've been better on what surface we were mounting to since hardware included were anchors and screws for drywall, whereas we are mounting to ceramic. I would have preferred that support bracket be individually wrapped inside the mantle versus screwed in.All in all we are pleased.

The mantel itself is beautiful and appears to be very well crafted. However, upon mounting it above our fire place, we noticed that the wood is slightly warped. While it's only noticeable to a perfectionist's eye, we can't help but see it, and for the price, it's a bit disappointing.

My wife and I were very excited for this mantel after seeing all the positive reviews and customer photos. However, upon receiving the mantel we were very disappointed. The front face of the mantel has several knots present. The one on the left side being very pronounced and a different color than the rest of the mantel. This draws your eye to the imperfection immediately. When placing the order we requested that they try to avoid knots on the face of the mantel. We did receive a message back saying this would not be guaranteed but would help our chances of receiving what we want. The exact opposite happened. Now we will be returning the mantel. If you are looking to have input on what your mantel will look like, this is not the place to purchase from. Also beware the customer is responsible to pay a 20% restocking fee and return shipping.
