We are in the remodeling process and added a bar to our dining room. Upper cabinets were too costly and too busy for the area, so we opted for extra long and deep shelves (78 x 10) to use for glasses and decor. After viewing many options, we opted for these floating shelves from Urbandi due to their reviews and the fact that they included the brackets and hardware. We hired someone to install and he had them up in 20 minutes. They are very secure and look great, great craftsmanship, great communication on order status. Even our installer was impressed. I plan to buy more for our laundry room as well.

The shelves are beautiful, but need additional brackets to hold any weight. Otherwise the included bracket and hardware they came with is too flimsy to hold up over time with any weight over ten lbs and the metal sags. I was expecting a little more for the cost.

I searched high and low for floating shelves while we were building a new home. I returned about 7 different orders from other companies and finally stumbled upon Urbandi's website. Ordered one as a test and absolutely loved the product-the quality of the wood, stain color and quality of the finish job. So, I ended up buying for all the rooms I needed shelves for. Highly recommend if you are looking for an actual good floating shelf product that is durable and very high quality. I won't get shelves from anywhere else but here from now on.

Received 4 shelves 12/11, and hung those about 1 week later, in 2 weeks, I saw that all shelves started bending. Even before we started putting on them any weight!
I ordered 10'' depth. Apparently, the mount is too short for this depth, and shelves have started decorating under its weight.
Spent several hrs hanging those, and now I need to look for a replacement. Should I request a refund?

The shelves were sturdy but the finish and customer support were poor. When installing the set of 3 shelves we purchased, we put a stripe of blue painter's tape on them to help line them up. (Not duct tape or anything, just blue painter's tape). When we pulled the tape off after lining things up, less than an hour later, the finish pulled right up with the tape! We had to buy a replacement shelf, and when we contacted customer service to see about any sort of discount given the poor finish durability, no dice - we had to buy the replacement at full price, which we did reluctantly since we needed it to match the others. That's their prerogative of course but when it comes to adding shelves to our next room we'll be going with a different company for sure! (I tried to post this review before but it didn't show up, hope this doesn't get posted twice.)

4 out of 5 stars! The shelf itself is what was expected. The color was a little darker than the site photo, we understand darkness / lightness of stain is not always the same within the same species.
Reason for star deduction. I expected the precision to be more precise for the $ spent. Holes drilled were not centered on shelf & with the steel rod not centered on steel plate, and that plate had a 1/8" bow over the 29" width. Made install a little tricky, but compensated for these issues and was able to keep it level. Also ordered a specific width & it came in 1/8" larger which I had to cut off.
- The shipping was extremely fast even with the special size request.
- Very communicative during all ordering process.

We like the shelves themselves. But as we were installing one of the 3 we bought, we put some blue painter's tape on the shelf to help visually align it in our room. When we pulled the tape off a few minutes later, the finish came right up with the tape! (Again, this was blue painter's tape, not duct tape or something!) We had to order a replacement for that shelf since the damaged finish was very obvious, and reached out to customer service to ask for even a small discount. They refused; we had to pay full price for the replacement. IMHO the finish shouldn't come off with painter's tape, and we were disappointed Urbandi didn't stand behind their product. We were planning to install more shelves in a different room, and they will definitely be from a different company.

I want to love this perfect slab of wood (48” x 12”) I chose to float above my coffee bar. The Aged Barrel rustic selection blends perfectly with the cabinet below. However, the four posts on the metal bracket that insert into the shelf are not long/sturdy enough to keep the shelf level once installed. There is a significant downward slope from the wall to the front edge of the shelf. I don’t want to have to install brackets and lose the “floating” look. Trying to overlook my regret of the 12” depth and make sure heavier items are placed at the back closest to wall to avoid sliding off the front. Other than that - the product is beautiful Good communication from the company regarding production and shipping schedule.

I ordered this for my son for Christmas and he was disappointed when it arrived that it was not stained, When I ordered it I didn't realize that you needed to put in the color when you ordered it.So now he has to stain it himself and he really didn't want to do it himself. But other than that he said the shelf was very nice. I wish that at the ordering part should tell you that you didn't order a stain color.

The shelves are excellent quality themselves and the brackets are great also my only gripe is the hardware aka the screws it came with were terrible. They stripped in about 2 seconds I had to completely change the hardware with actually stud screws because the ones the shelves came with striped so fast. That’s my only reason I’m giving a 4 stars.
Other than that the shelves look great and I’m glad they include drywall anchors with the kit they came in handy especially for the shorter shelf where hitting two studs was impossible

I'm generally pleased with the shelves I purchased except I should have read the fine print regarding the species of wood. If you purchase "Aged Oak", your not going to get oak shelves, your going to get pine shelves that are stained with a color called "aged oak". I just assumed I was buying oak.
Additionally, the screws that are provided work fine for attaching to studs but the shank of the screw is too small for the drywall anchors that are provided. I had to find a larger screw to work with the anchors.

I really liked the rustic look of the shelves. One small item, would be better to have toggle anchors for the drywall screws. The enclosed set got too tight for the screws and ended up stripping 2 out of the 4. Had to go to Home Depot to get toggle bolts that finished the job nicely. Don't want customers to be using curse words so close to Christmas.
