I ordered this for my son for Christmas and he was disappointed when it arrived that it was not stained, When I ordered it I didn't realize that you needed to put in the color when you ordered it.So now he has to stain it himself and he really didn't want to do it himself. But other than that he said the shelf was very nice. I wish that at the ordering part should tell you that you didn't order a stain color.

We love our new floating shelves! They are high quality, beautifully made and very sturdy on the wall, even the large 60 in. shelves! Installation was a bit challenging due to leveling and finding studs, but has nothing to do with the shelves themselves. Would highly recommend!

The shelves are excellent quality themselves and the brackets are great also my only gripe is the hardware aka the screws it came with were terrible. They stripped in about 2 seconds I had to completely change the hardware with actually stud screws because the ones the shelves came with striped so fast. That’s my only reason I’m giving a 4 stars.
Other than that the shelves look great and I’m glad they include drywall anchors with the kit they came in handy especially for the shorter shelf where hitting two studs was impossible

Shelf is solid and well made. The screws I’d say made it a hard install so I used multi-purpose screws and it worked!

I really liked the rustic look of the shelves. One small item, would be better to have toggle anchors for the drywall screws. The enclosed set got too tight for the screws and ended up stripping 2 out of the 4. Had to go to Home Depot to get toggle bolts that finished the job nicely. Don't want customers to be using curse words so close to Christmas.

The shelves were good quality but they came stinking of oil based paint and literally knocked us out .made us dizzy and gave us all a headache so had to be taken down . The smell permeated THE WHOLE HOUSE ! Really strong . After painting an outdoor fence once with oil based paint I know that the smell takes ages to wear off . A real inconvenience at Xmas as it’s raining outside and nowhere to put them .

We bought three floating shelves. Love the quality of the shelves – very sturdy and beautiful looking. We did have a lot of trouble installing them – part of the problem was ours in that we had trouble finding the studs since we didn’t have a stud finder. But also two screws were defective. One head was stripped and another just broke. Luckily Urbandi provides a generous amount of screws. The plastic anchors were useless they shredded. We had to go out and buy wing nuts.
So it was very aggravating morning, putting those shelves up. But they’re up and they look fantastic. Overall I am pleased with this company.

Finish on wood shelves is beautiful (stain and cuts) and size exactly as ordered. Would give 5-stars if mounting brackets felt more durable…a bit too much play/bend in the arms that the shelf slides onto. I’m concerned that they’ll warp/sag over time.

This was my second order, the first order was perfect, to the way it looked, fit together, and went up. This order looks good too, however I ordered two shelves with matching stain, and it looks like they are from two different pieces of wood, with the grain and wood looking slightly different. The finish just doesn’t seem as clean as my first order. Overall I still think these are good shelves.

These shelves are beautiful solid oak with a rustic natural finish. Nothing like the honey oak you might have grown up with in the 80’s. This is the second set I’ve purchased from Urbandi and both times I’ve been impressed by the prompt delivery and quality of the product. They are made to order and you’ll smell the fresh stain when you unbox them. I’ve included some pictures of the liquor shelves we added to our bar area. Very nice!

So happy with our floating shelves in the aged oak stain. They are the finishing touch to our 1917 farmhouse renovation. They match the custom hood vent we had made from wood that was preserved from the interior of the house. I know all of our guests will enjoy the beautiful shelving!! The hardware sent does not fit or work!! For the price you pay for the shelves you should not have to make a trip to hardware store to install them!! Very frustrating. Also I went back and saw some reviews with the same issues. Why has this company not fixed the problem??

Quick turnaround from order to delivery. Shelves arrived in good condition. Communication during the ordering and delivery process was great. Only issues were the stain on a couple of the shelves was inconsistently thick and thin and the shelves probably could have used a little more sanding before staining. Overall they look and work fine and are priced right for what you get.

The hardware included to hang the bracket seems cheap. I stripped two screws trying to hang it and I'm still not done. I need to buy new anchors and screws and try again. The first shelf arrived with a crooked bracket. The agent I spoke with was great and sent another right away, but now I'm frustrated with the hardware. It shouldn't be this challenging to hang a shelf!

The shelves are beautiful and are exactly what we wanted. We ordered samples ahead of time, which was very helpful. We decided on the Jacobean stain to match the dark cabinets. Having said that, I will urge caution about the drywall anchors they provided. The anchors were the wrong size for the screws. Argh!!! Unfortunately, we did not know that until the anchors were already in the wall and the screws wouldn’t fit. We had to pull the anchors out and use our own anchors and screws. It left our wall with large holes (which you can’t see b/c it’s behind the bracket). Hopefully we never have to remove these shelves!!

Prefab drilled holes are a plus for locating studs in the desired wall space.
I'm not contractor but am pretty handy at small stuff like installing these shelves. I did have a problem with getting the screws all the way home, even after pre-drilling a tap hole. Same thing happened with the dry wall anchor when i decided to switch securing hole. Phillips bit was able to strip the head of the screw way to easily for anything I've seen before. Might want to beef up the install screw metal.
Otherwise really nice, product, thanks for the easy return when i originally sized it wrong, the 10" depth fits the space much better. Wood grain, stain, and install components all great.

Had very experienced carpenter/handyman install them today. He said they were among the best he's ever seen, and he's seen many. The mounting brackets are sturdy and don't require any additional screws to keep the wood mounted on the bracket. We're very pleased.

Great shelves delivered quickly. High quality work that looks great. Only issue (a small one) is that the shelves have a fairly long cracks. I’m assuming this is simply a part of them being “rustic”. Overall, we are quite happy with how they turned out.
