Happy with the weight ,not to heavy for mounting.. wife would have liked color a little lighter, communications would've been better on what surface we were mounting to since hardware included were anchors and screws for drywall, whereas we are mounting to ceramic. I would have preferred that support bracket be individually wrapped inside the mantle versus screwed in.All in all we are pleased.

My wife and I were very excited for this mantel after seeing all the positive reviews and customer photos. However, upon receiving the mantel we were very disappointed. The front face of the mantel has several knots present. The one on the left side being very pronounced and a different color than the rest of the mantel. This draws your eye to the imperfection immediately. When placing the order we requested that they try to avoid knots on the face of the mantel. We did receive a message back saying this would not be guaranteed but would help our chances of receiving what we want. The exact opposite happened. Now we will be returning the mantel. If you are looking to have input on what your mantel will look like, this is not the place to purchase from. Also beware the customer is responsible to pay a 20% restocking fee and return shipping.

Our mantle arrived on Christmas Eve and we quickly installed it within an hour of it arriving as it was the last touch on our recently remodeled living room. We are so pleased- it looks great and is the perfect size for our fireplace.
I will note that since we installed on brick, I bought some heavier duty Tapcon screws and used 4 to mount our 54” mantle. It is rock solid and works great now.

This surprised me. It was delayed in production, due to holiday volume I presume. But it showed up in time for our Christmas Day, and it only took 30 minutes to install! It is light because it is hollow, but solid due to the French cleat hanger. Color is exactly what I expected. Everyone is very impressed with it

Hello, I am hoping that this goes to the company and will not be posted on-line. We are disappointed, it looks like the side piece at the end was not stained. The front was stained, the stain comes about an inch onto the end piece, and ends in a sharp line where it stops- the stain in not continued and smoothed in. This is very noticeable as the mantle is in the front to the room. Construction of mantle is beautiful. Other parts of mantle that were stained are also beautiful. Dark line where stain stops on the side piece is not at the level of the rest of the work and is disappointing, no way to hide that.

I really like this mantel. The size looks like a real wood barn beam without all the weight. My only critique would be that the edge (see pic) should be mitered for a more aesthetic look on the outside view.
I did have to expedite delivery due to there turn around time taking longer than usual. So 4 stars for those 2 reasons. Still a beautiful mantel and worth the money.
