I ordered the unfinished oak (66in, 6 x 8in).
The mantle itself is beautiful, looks great. I will be finishing it in a clear wax.
The reason for 3 stars is I feel the wood wall support and screws are very inadequate to hold the weight of an 8 inch wide oak mantle. No way this would hold this weight long term.
The depth of the wood support is only 2 inches and the supplied screws are only about 2 1/4 inches. I bought much longer screws AND additional metal shelf support brackets which I installed either end inside the mantle.

Love this mantle. The white oak is beautiful and the perfect addition to separate fireplace and tv. It was very easy to install once I got screws long enough to go into studs. The mantle came with 2" screws and I needed
2 3/4 screws to go into studs. Other than that the whole experience was great.

Almost love it. The color is exactly what I was looking for.
However, the wood chosen for the front piece has a big dark mark in it, which makes the mantle look damaged. More care and consideration could have been put into choosing which pieces go where.
The edges look like they were mitered with a dull blade, as they are rough and filled in smooth with lacquer.

The mantel is decent quality for the price. I think the mounting bracket could be improved, but it works. The finish on the white oak is a bit too shiny for my taste, I’d prefer something more natural looking with a matte finish.
