Honestly I came across these shelves after having a terrible experience with West Elm floating shelves. The Urbandi shelves are easy to install and super sturdy. I live in earthquake land and I feel totally comfortable with them being sturdy and safe! Am thrilled with them. They are also just REALLY pretty!

These are OK...a bit more rustic than I expected. Also, nothing was predrilled, and had a tough time getting one of the wood brackets into the wall despite multiple attempts. As a result, one shelf is much sturdier than the other despite one being directly above the other and in the same studs. on the less sturdy shelf, it is as if the bracket itself is not straight enough to lie flat against the wall.

Overall the product is well built and attractive. I was disappointed that it took longer than anticipated to received. When I did receive it, the hardware was missing and I had to send an email to get resolved and wait even longer. The hardware should have been overnighted but was not even though I requested it. Additionally, there were no pre-drilled holes to mount the bracket.

It took a long time to get here, so I would check on the amount of time if that’s important. However, one of the delays was due to them not passing the shelves on a quality check and sending them back for touch up. That means something in this world!

Great product with one exception. The threaded screw that was designed to go through the brace, through the drywall, and the secure the wall anchor is too short at 3”. I went and bought some 3 1/2” screws adn they engaged the wall anchors just fine.
But, the floating shelves look great next to the fire place and the mantel I bought from Urbandi.

So far, I have only received half of my order. I was not expecting these to be as distressed as they are. Especially, for the short length that has arrived. There are big chunks gouged out of the flat surface which will limit the size and placement of items on the shelves. Hoping when the second half of my order arrives they will look the same color as all are going in the same room. Also, I thought the bracket to hang them would be the same metal with pre drilled holes I saw in an instructional video. It really made installation look easy. Instead I have thick wood block brackets requiring me to drill all necessary holes which will make the installation process more cumbersome. I am disappointed with what I paid versus what I have received.
