Box and mantle were damaged on the corners, there was a place with damage and uneven stain. We don’t want to risk ordering a replacement, as the new mantle may have damage like this one, due to poor packaging and shipping .

I’m not one to usually complain, but this was not worth the cost in my opinion. Took 4 weeks to receive my mantel which would’ve been fine, but you can see the nails everywhere. A few of them are covered and the rest you can clearly see. The two biggest ones are near the center and right on the front of the mantel. Disappointing.

So bummed! My mantle and shelves took longer than promised, which is totally fine, however the mantle arrived with a very distinct pink or orange line down the middle on the side that will be seen when mounted. It really looks more pink than orange to me. I can also see the nails they used. Honestly, it just looks like cut pine from a big box store, poorly stained, and nailed together. It's a total disappointment: Urbandi has offered to replace, which now sets my project back again and I have the added hassle of shipping back. The shelves I ordered are ok- they feel rough but will work fine, no pink or orange lines.

I wish I could register 4.5 stars. The mantel is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. The -.5 star is because it wasn't level across the top when installed. I ended up having to hot glue a thin shim along the bottom edge against the wall. It worked, it looks great. I'm happy.

I love that as a woman I could hang this myself. At first I didn’t love the idea that it was hallow but you can’t tell at all. Looks like a solid block of wood as a mantle! They send everything you need to install and it’s super simple - 2 or three screws for the bracket then you place it! Centering is also not an issue because you can slide the mantle from left to right once it’s placed in the bracket. Only measuring I had to do was ensuring it was level. Great product!

Purchase and communication of the process of the order was top notch. The anchor board on unit had to be sanded to remove the rolling ridges in the board so unit would be more flush to the wall. Further the anchor board had to be sanded to make it more inset or inside of the top of the mantle board so it would not protrude outside of the top board. I also have 2 finish nail heads that when the unit was final sanded in production the wood filler was sanded off. The shiny heads are visible. Other than this, the unit packing was real good and protected the product during shipping.

The fireplace mantle looks great, but the quality control left something to be desired. There was a sticky spot on the surface, suggesting the finish didn’t adhere properly. It seemed to wipe away okay so maybe even something spilled??? While it’s a minor flaw, it detracts from an otherwise nice piece. Disappointed this wasn’t caught before shipping. Furthermore it arrived very late compared to its original lead time I was given at purchasing. Interestingly, Urbandi has setup an email status update system that works well. However, in the case of the mantel, I was notified how smoothly my piece moved through production until it hit the shipping department; where it sat idle for 2 weeks and cause a huge delay in my project.

I am very disappointed in this mantel. The appearance of the front panel is dark and dirty, quite unlike the photos on your website that I relied on when ordering. The fireplace has never been used, so the color is not due to smoke stains. The top and bottom surfaces of the mantel look bright and clean. The front surface, which is the only one people can see, looks dirty. I wanted to explain that I like all sorts of color changes involving dark, medium and light golden tones. And I also enjoy knots. But I'm objecting to the overall dingy appearance and places that look almost black. If your website photo had looked like this, I would not have ordered the mantel.
I should mention that I'm a repeat customer. I bought one of your coffee tables (order # 28499) a while back, and it is beautiful. The front panel of this mantel, however, is not pretty at all. It looks filthy, even though it's brand new.

Ordered what was advertised as an oak mantel. The product is actually 1 x 7 stained pine boards screwed together with Sheetrock screws and finish nails. It has a giant knot dead center of the face of the mantel, as shown in picture. It looks nothing like the pics on the website. I want a refund and will not be ordering any more products from Urbandi.
