I originally purchased a beautiful 3'X8" UltraShelf (US) floating shelf, which is extremely nice quality, but then I found Urbandi and these shelves looked on par, so I decided to buy one. I purchased a 4'X8" and the cost was less than the US 3'X8" shelf! I was thrilled to discover the quality was just as beautiful. In fact, the US unit in the same 4'X8" size, same wood, same finish, is twice the cost of Urbandi shelf, (same mounting system too). Urbandi is the best floating shelf I have found at unbeatable prices, (check this out for yourself). I will now buy another Urbandi to complete my office this time I'll buy the 3'X8" unit to mount just above the US unit. Incidentally, the US shelf is 2 solid pieces of wood joined together, but the Urbandi is one single solid wooden shelf, no joints! Not sure if they are all this way, but mine is! They were mounted on a thick glazed terracotta tile so the contractor used larger bolts than included with the shelf. I could not be happier with these!

This is a really great 'custom-made-to-order' product. Well packaged and shipped with protective materials. Beautifully finished. All the required mounting material was provided. The mounting bracket is well designed and easy to mount to the wall. The shelf just slides into place on the bracket. More important than anything--my wife was elated! ordered shelves on 11/20 and now its 12/2 and apparently they just never shipped out my shelves now they have to re make them by 12/6 and they wont be delivered for 3-7 business days after that. How do you promise a delivery and then do nothing to accommodate the customer? Idk maybe say you'll express ship out a set? I wanted to have a 5/5 experience but now i'm left to figure out another plan as the portal told me I'd have my shelves by now when I placed the order.

The shelf is nice and getting it unfinished was helpful so we could match the finish with other wood elements in the same room. Our only issue was the holes that were drilled to receive the floating shelf bracket were not straight and left a gap on one side of the shelf. We tried flipping it to make sure it wasn’t the wall but then the gap was on the other side which was more apparent from the entrance to the room.

The shelves are very nice and high quality; however, very misleading as they are way too heavy to hang with the anchors provided. At this price point, the hardware provided to hang these shelves is completely inadequate. Do not even bother ordering prior to finding studs where hanging.

The shelf came out beautiful, its sturdy and well made! I appreciate the update on each progress made. It came with a bracket and screws. However, it took longer than expected to installed because the screws provided kept jamming with the hand gun. Overall, great shopping experience.

We loved the look of these floating shelves, but unfortunately, they were much heavier than anticipated. Additionally, the holes in the bracket were were not closed circles, which was not a bracket style we were familiar with. Ultimately, we had to return the shelves as we did not feel comfortable hanging these above our couch where people would be sitting. We were disappointed the weight wasn't listed on the website, which would have helped us make a more informed decision. The return process was quick and easy, though.

My bad- I inadvertently ordered the wrong size. (12x12). I know the studs are 13 inches apart so I won’t be able to properly mount this as it is too heavy for the wall.
That said, it is a beautifully finished piece of wood. Very solid, the hardware pieces all seem to fit and the instructions are clear. Just too heavy for the spot I want it in without having the support of the studs.

We went with two 10x24 unfinished and they are solid, heavy-duty, beautiful wooden shelves. They were easy to install with their brackets that make it easy to mount into a stud or two with many channel/slots throughout the length of the bracket. They come with anchors where you cannot get into a stud but I do recommend getting into at least one with the weight of these shelves.

The concept looks great but their engineering sucks.
Beautiful shelves but so heavy that the poorly designed brackets barely support the weight of the shelves.
The 16” shelf bracket is only 10” so it doesn’t span even one stud in most applications. The larger shelves have a similar issue.
Five heavy duty drywall molly bolts in one 16” shelf don’t even make it solid.
They refunded 15% of the price of the 16” shelves but that doesn’t help them stay on the wall.
I may end up buying brackets instead.

This is a beautiful shelf. It's solid wood so it's incredibly heavy. The hardware sent with the shelf was not suffice to bolt it to the wall. You need to know if it's drywall or metal that you're drilling into as it will require very different hardware. Luckily we had someone who knew how to install it properly. Happy with the final result but it was quite a task in having it installed.

I ordered 2 custom length shelves in black. I could not be happier. There was a miscommunication on the timing of my order and Customer Service and Production stepped up and got it done!! These shelves are beautiful solid wood. I love the black for my space as all my fixtures are black but I do hate the idea of painting such beautiful wood. Highly recommend Urbandi and would definitely purchase again.
