This is advertised as solid wood, aged oak. It’s knotty pine planks that are glued and screwed together, then artificially aged and stained. The total amount of wood in this is less than $65, and time spent likely was less than an hr total cutting and assembling this. Is it work $300+? No, but should lower the price to reflect that it’s not actual oak and not “solid wood” but really planks.

For the most part the mantel looks good, we do have a defect in the mantel and truth be told the mantel order took longer than we thought. When the order process first started they appeared to make it sound like we get t sooner than we did.

Not as “distressed” as I was expecting. Shipping was horrendous. Received notification of a day and time but it never showed as stated. Then there was no update for 2 days. Even on delivery day the delivery window kept changing.

Packaging needs to be better , was delivered with a significant dent on the face of the mantle. I emailed over photos. The company gave me three options. I accepted a 20% credit and I will repair the damage product. hopefully, it’ll come out looking the same, and I can find the proper color stain !

I received my order the other day and I was away for work. The order came without incident. However I just installed my mantel and I am a little disappointed. I was expecting something a little more distressed like the website shows. I understand each mantle is made to order but the one I received is a little lackluster. I do like the mantle but again just disappointed it wasn’t close to what the website had shown.

You get what you pay for. I ordered a distressed mantel and it came with a huge red line across the front. Also the “distressed” part is them chiseling out a few chunks of wood from 2x4 pieces of wood. Save the money and build it yourself. (It cost you about half the money you pay to return it)

The mantel is beautiful. My only complaint would be on the time it took to be delivered. Give yourself at least 4-5 weeks when ordering. Beautiful piece though.

I was so excited for this mantel, so when the shipping date came and went the first time I was a little bummed, then it came and went again and they gave me a 10% refund, which was nice. When the mantel arrived it had a huge chunk of it that had broken off. Luckily, my Dad is very good at wood working and was able to glue it, but I was very disappointed when it arrived that way. Now that it’s up, it’s pretty.
